For its sixth edition, MIDO pays tribute to Mexican cultural identity with the Commander Gradient Catrines, the latest creation in this iconic collection dedicated to the Día de Muertos.

The iconic skull— symbol of this festival honouring the departed — is surrounded by flowers and enhanced with vivid, phosphorescent colours. Gracing its gradient dial, it draws everyone’s attention during the day and transforms at night into a completely different and mesmerising presence… the perfect combination of Swiss watchmaking artistry and Mexican traditions.

Description

Movement	MIDO automatic Caliber 80 (ETA C07.611 base), 11½’’’, Ø 25.60 mm, thickness: 4.86 mm, 25 jewels, 21,600 Vib/h, Nivachron™ balance spring. Finely decorated elaborate movement, oscillating weight decorated with Côtes de Genève and MIDO logo. HMSD functions. Adjusted in three different positions for optimal accuracy. Power reserve of up to 80 hours.
Case	Satin-finished stainless steel, polished bezel, Ø 40 mm, 3 parts, faceted and domed sapphire crystal, screw-on case back, elaborate and finely decorated movement visible through the transparent case back, engraved serial number, water-resistant up to a pressure of 5 bar (50 m/165 ft). Lug-to-lug length: 43.83 mm.
Strap/Bracelet	Satin-finished stainless steel, folding clasp with push-buttons, engraved MIDO logo, easily interchangeable.
	Additional black leather strap with blue stitching, folding clasp with push-buttons, engraved MIDO logo, stainless steel, easily interchangeable.
	Additional textured orange rubber strap, stainless steel pin buckle with engraved MIDO logo, easily interchangeable.
Dial	Acrylic, transparent in the centre and progressively opaque (black gradient), skull and “Catrines” flower decoration using Super-LumiNova® at 8 points and 10 lacquers, polished applied indexes with Super-LumiNova®, date window at 3 o’clock.
Hands	Flat diamond-cut and faceted hour and minute hands with Super-LumiNova® for easy readability at night. Flat diamond-cut seconds hand.
