Ernest Borel Retro Collection adds three new dial variants and a new rubber strap option to their octagonal bezel N0404 series.
First introduced in 2021, the Retro Automatic N0404G series is a rounded reimagination of the brand’s iconic octagonal watch released in 1975. For 2023, we have six new editions of the N0404 series: three models in steel, three models in rubber strap and three new dial variants, each with its own style.

Ernest Borel Retro Collection adds three new dial variants and a new rubber strap option to their octagonal bezel N0404 series.
First introduced in 2021, the Retro Automatic N0404G series is a rounded reimagination of the brand’s iconic octagonal watch released in 1975. For 2023, we have six new editions of the N0404 series: three models in steel, three models in rubber strap and three new dial variants, each with its own style.
NEW SUNRAY BRUSHED DIAL IN SOFT GRADIENT
The new additions trade the former streamlined latitude and longitude grids etched dial for a beautiful sunray-brushed dial in three variations: ice blue, forest green and deep blue.
The gradient softly fades from bright colors in the centre to black at the edge, giving depth to the dial while the unique sunray effect captures and reflects light with wrist movements, adding richness to the light effects. Thanks to the Super-LumiNova treatment, the distinctive olive-shaped indices and hands offer optimum readability against the dial, ensuring that time can be read in any lighting condition and on any adventure.

The octagonal case seamlessly integrates with the strap, resulting in a streamlined silhouette that rests nicely on the wrist – a perfect union of retro style and modern aesthetic.
For the first time, Ernest Borel releases a rubber strap option for the Retro Automatic N0404G series. The straps are made with FKM (Fluoroelastomers) rubber – a high density rubber that is soft but made to survive through harsh conditions. Whether fitted with a stainless steel bracelet or a rubber strap, each is equipped with a deployant clasp that makes it easier to put on or take off.

SEAMLESS UNION OF CASE AND STRAP
The new additions retain the same case dimensions as existing models at 46.5 mm x 42.5 mm, with a 9.9 mm thickness. The octagonal case seamlessly integrates with the strap, resulting in a streamlined silhouette that rests nicely on the wrist – a perfect union of retro style and modern aesthetic.
It also retains the retro olive-shaped indices that sit on the outer ring of dial, bearing a resemblance to the compass rose pointing to different directions while offering optimal legibility.
