A sophisticated look for this limited edition, Frederique Constant and All Watches has opted for an intense maroon dial in contrast with the anthracite grey world map with outlines of the continents carved with the greatest precision.
The date counter at 6 o’clock is decorated with a sunray guilloché pattern, a traditional finish in Fine Watchmaking. Hovering over it are the hour and minute hands and index hour markers tinged with luminescent material to make them easier to read in low light. Around this miniature world map unfolds the Worldtimer flange, indicating the 24 world time zones and “SINGAPORE” as one of the 24 principal cities. To ensure the dial can be easily read, the 12 daytime hours appear in white, while the 12 night-time hours appear in maroon red.

The movement has been decorated with fine perlage decoration visible through the sapphire crystal glass caseback. Admire the blued screws and the rose gold-plated hollowed-out oscillating weight adorned with vertical satin-finishing and “Frederique Constant Manufacture” engraving.

A hands-on review
Cased in a 42mm stainless steel case with a lug size of 22mm and height of 12.1mm, the watch wears comfortably even on smaller wrist due to its balance proportions. What’s special is the 24 world time zone marker having “SINGAPORE” marked as one of the 24 principal cities. The 24-hour day-night wheel is illustrated by the use of white for day, and red for night; which interestingly correspond to the colours of the Singapore flag.
The genius of this watch has complexity made so simple with it’s amazing one crown operation system. All operations can be set via the crown as opposed to the world-time function being set via a rotating bezel including the time and date. The crown has three positions: the first to wind the watch; the second to set the date (clockwise) and city (counter-clockwise); and the third to set the time (counter-clockwise).
