SKIN IN THE GAME
Annually, 15,000 wild red deer are culled in Switzerland for population control. Cervo Volante was founded to utilize the otherwise wasted deer skins to create natural accessories.
The Oris x Cervo Volante collaboration begins with three Big Crown Pointer Date watches. Each has a gradient dial inspired by Alpine hues and a strap made of sustainable deer leather. They come with a pouch and a card holder made of the same material.

THE MISSION CONTINUES
Oris has seen successful progress in their efforts to unite people globally and bring about positive change, as detailed in their 2024 Sustainability Report. They are on track to achieve a 27.1% reduction in carbon emissions by the end of the first phase of the Oris Emissions Reductions Programme to meet the ambitious targets set out two years ago.
This accomplishment is significant, yet there is still a lot of work ahead, and it can only succeed when everyone contributes. Collaboration is essential for continued progress and making a positive impact for the future.
“We’re ahead of target, but we’re not slowing down,” said Rolf Studer, Oris Co-CEO.
“We’re pursuing this programme because as an independent company that makes luxury mechanical watches for the world citizen, we believe it’s the right thing to do. We’re a lighthouse for sustainability in an uncertain world, and we consider it our responsibility to unite people around change. It’s only together we can bring Change for the Better.”

CRAFTED WITH VISION
Cervo Volante’s hand-crafted products, low-impact methods and huge vision have brought us a great deal of joy. Not only are their leather products beautiful, they also tell stories in a way typical massproduced equivalents never could.
Some of the straps carry natural imperfections, which are not just a symbol of the sustainable process behind them but also make them objects of great beauty.
For example, they keep imperfections that occur during the life of a deer in their skins, where many companies would discard them. Their skins are never the product of farming, and they never require chemicals or fertilizers. And if the skins weren’t used in this way, they’d simply be burned. Cervo Volante has also employed Switzerland’s last two remaining tanneries, both of which use 100 per cent vegetable tanning processes.
