Ball Watch releases limited edition luxury timepiece to pay tribute to the nation’s 200 years of growth and progress

Introducing the Roadmaster Raffles, a limited edition to commemorate the bicentennial anniversary of Sir Stamford Raffles’ arrival in the Lion City. The 40mm streamlined case features a day-date automatic movement, micro gas tube luminosity and a red color bezel that pays homage to the nation’s flag. Available in only 200 pieces to signify the 200 years since the country’s founding in 1819, this timepiece imbues key trademarks of our little red dot and provides high accuracy, legibility and robustness even in the harshest conditions.

Drawing inspiration from Singapore’s national flag, the Roadmaster Raffles comes with a classy red bezel, a first in BALL Watch’s history, along with green gas tubes. The transparent caseback, emblazoned with the iconic pose of Sir Stamford Raffles, completes the uniquely localised design.

With the automatic calibre BALL RR1102 as the featured chronograph movement in this exquisite timepiece, the Roadmaster Raffles also comes equipped with a uni-directional rotating aluminium bezel with micro gas tube inset, anti-reflective sapphire crystal, as well as a patent-protected screwed-in crown design.

Its 29 proprietary self-powered micro gas tubes located on the dial, bezel, and its hour, minute and second hands provide seamless night reading capabilities. Manufactured by innovative Swiss laser technology and requiring no external energy source, these gas tubes provide superior brightness (up to 100 times brighter than the luminescent paint commonly used in the watch industry) with a lifespan of over 25 years. Coupled with its anti-magnetic (to 4,800A/m) and water resistant (up to 200m) properties, the Roadmaster Raffles is a timepiece capable of enduring some of the harshest conditions in man’s pursuit of exploration.
